To illustrate this Komarno estate was chosen in L‘viv land of Rus‘ voivodship, which featured as a private possession since the second quarter of 15th century. Features of this territorial entity and certain settlements in its composition accumulate a number of sources of state and internal origin. In the proposed article studied the specific of the information coverage in the documents of the first group, namely the registers of land, poll, hearth and ―czopowe‖ tax. Revealed that these sources allow to follow the dynamics of the spatial growth, establish the facts of the foundation of new settlements and proprietary ownership of the estate and its villages.
