МАТЕРИАЛЫ ВТОРОГО ПЕРИОДА АЗОВО-ДНЕПРОВСКОЙ КУЛЬТУРЫ С ПОСЕЛЕНИЯ ВОВЧОК
Abstract
The ceramics of the second period of the Azovo-Dnieprovskaya culture from the Vovchok settlement are considered in the article. This settlement was excavated by А.V. Dobrovolsky in 1929. Its materials are not published till now. They are kept in the National Museum of History of Ukraine in Kyev. The collection of the Azovo-Dnieprovskaya pottery includes the fragments from 31 vessels. They are made of clay with various impurity, ornamented by strokes and drawn lines. The age of the materials is defined on the basis of a series of radiocarbon dates made for the monuments of the second period of the AzovoDnieprovskaya culture (Table 1). According to these dates, the Vovchok materials could be dated about 6300-5800 ВР or about 5200-4700 ВС.
