Formation of Ukraine national metrology department
Abstract
The formation of national metrological service system of Ukraine is discovered in this work. The role of D.I. Mendeleev as the famous scientist in the development of scientific researches in the field of metrology in Ukraine and the deployment of network of testing chambers is emphasized. The activities and main directions of scientific work, organizing of the first metrological institution of the country - National Scientific Centre ―The Institute of Metrology‖ are considered. Particular attention is paid to the formation of the unique base of primary standards and the participation of Institute‗s scientists in international projects. The peculiarities of Ukrainian Centre for Standardization and Metrology, m. Kyiv, which is the main base for Center of certification products and implementation of quality systems, are highlighted. On the basis of the analysis of legal documents and archival materials the organization and following activity of State Enterprise ―Scientific and Research Institute of Metrology and Control Systems‖, Lviv; State Enterprise ― Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Scientific and Technical Center of Standardization, Metrology and Certification‖, Dnipropetrovsk and Odessa State Laboratory of Compliance Monitoring by the Government for standards and measuring equipment are examined.
