FEATURES OF ARCHIVE CASES OF THE 30S OF THE 20TH CENTURY
Abstract
The archival case № 1708 of Anton Solymchuk has been analyzed in the article, which is a source for studying the activities of the intelligence department of the WPRA, the forms and methods of agent recruitment, and collecting intelligence data for the purpose of military operations of the USSR against Poland. The investigative case is a reflection of the activities of the Soviet law enforcement agencies of the 1930s and an illustration of the process of conducting criminal proceedings, a model of the documentation of this process. Studies of the court cases of the repressed are the key to understanding the genesis of the totalitarian communist system.
