THE EDUCATIONAL POTENTIAL OF YOUTH POLICY OF THE OUN IN THE CONDITIONS OF MODERN INFORMATION WARFARE

Abstract

The scientific article analyzes the propaganda activity of the Ukrainian nationalist clandestine among young people in the postwar period. The main methods and means of implementing the ideological influence of the OUN and UPA on the youth and educational intelligentsia have been determined. The reaction of the Soviet leadership to the activities of national forces in the field of education is shown. Elucidation of the methods of propaganda struggle between for influence on the Ukrainian public space remains extremely relevant in the conditions of the modern information warfare.

The research methodology is based on the principles of scientificity, systematization, historicism, verification. The study used problem-historical, exploratory methods, as well as methods of microhistory. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the fact that, on the basis of extensive archival material and modern historiography, a comprehensive analysis of the policy of the Ukrainian national forces regarding the ideological influence on the youth was carried out. The effectiveness of these measures and their impact on the further development of Ukrainian society have been determined. The patriotic and educational potential of the OUN youth policy and the possibility of its application in the modern information warfare have been studied

It is substantiated that the educational and patriotic-upbringing work of the Ukrainian national clandestine among the youth had far-reaching results. For a long time, the Soviet leadership failed to change the mentality of Ukrainians and fully integrate the western lands into the USSR, largely due to the armed and propaganda activities of the OUN and the UPA. The campaigning, ideological, educational and upbringing activities of the Ukrainian rebels are an inexhaustible source for countering the modern Russian information war and the development of the national-state idea in Ukrainian society.
