Abstract

The article analyzes the coverage of the issues of everyday life and the solution of the «women’s question» in the region on the pages of the newspaper «Chervone Zaporizhzhia» in the 1920s. It was determined that the number of publications devoted to women was relatively small, due to the insignificant role of women in the public sphere, especially in the first half of the 20th century. The majority of the publications was initiated by the Zaporozhye Women’s Department. These publications were mainly in the role of official constructs of social reality, which was conditioned by the requirements of the Soviet political management. Most publications of the newspaper are devoted to Soviet emancipation activities in the region. By the end of the 20th century, the vast majority of publications have a depersonalized character that is characteristic of the periodical. For the most part, individuals are referred to as the authors of the reports. Some exceptions are some critical notes about the activities of individuals. In the late 20s, with the development of industrialization and the growing need for examples of successes of Soviet citizens in production, a woman on the pages of the newspaper is more «personified» for the promotion of successful work. There are publications that focus on a worker or a peasant who can serve as an example of successful work, study, etc.
