The ratification of the US Constitution in 1787 in New York State: foreign policy issues

Abstract
The article analyzes the foreign policy issues during the ratification of the Constitution in 1787 in the state New York. The specific situation of the Federalists and anti-Federalist views, published in periodicals: “Publius”, “PhiliPublius”, “Americanus”, “Curtius”, “Fabius”, “Cincinnatus”, “Brutus”, “Cato”, “Federal Farmer”, “A Countryman”, “Plebian” were identified and examined. The comparative analysis of the positions on foreign policy issues of supporters and opponents of the ratification of the "basic law" on the state convention meetings were analyzed.
